First Status Conference of the IWRM project MoMo in Ulaanbaatar

The first MoMo Status Conference of the project “Integrated Water Resources Management for Central Asia: Model Region Mongolia (MoMo)” was held at National University of Mongolia and Chinggis Khan Hotel, Ulaanbaatar from May 20 through 22 2008.

MoMo Status Conference in Chinggis Hotel, UB The conference was sponsored by German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The focus of the conference was the discussion on results of the first one and a half years of MoMo project duration. Furthermore, possible next steps have been worked out and discussed. In addition, another essential aim of the conference was the involvement of decision makers ranging from the local to the national level.

Correspondingly, a number of representatives of Mongolian ministries and subordinated institutions like the Mongolian Water Authority took part. The conference outcome and detailed results are included in the “Executive Summary” that can be also downloaded from the MoMo homepage.
